Today our friend Alyssa from Bits of Everything is here to share one of her awesome lower body workouts with you. The best part about the workout is that you only need a pair of dumbbells.. which means you can do it pretty much anywhere! Go check it out :)

Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa, the writer behind the blog, Bits of Everything, where I share bits of my life and my passion for overall health and wellness by sharing new recipes, workout ideas, and products that I love! My passion for fitness and nutrition stems back to my college years of being a Division 1 collegiate athlete. I love sharing new recipes, workouts, and random tips and tricks within my own life that help me maintain a healthy lifestyle, so head on over to my blog if you want to follow along!

I work out at home and am still able to get in some killer workouts without having to pay for a gym membership!  This is not to say, I won’t join one in the future, but for now, I’m totally content working out with the equipment I have at home.

I love these kind of workouts because it gets my heart rate up since it combines plyometric moves, supersets, and shorter rest times, so I’m able to get in a quality workout in a shorter span of time.  A superset means performing 2 exercises back-to-back with no rest in between.  This workout took me roughly 30-35 min depending on the rest times you take between sets!  Also, remember to take the time to warm up and cool down for at least 5-10 min before and after your workout!  I need to be mindful of actually stretching or foam rolling after my workouts so this is a reminder for myself as well :)  This workout can also be performed without weights and please feel free to make modifications based on your own fitness needs!
